Don't be afraid or discouraged - Deuteronomy 31:8
More About This Verse
MEANING
Jesus has already gone before us on the cross. He prepares the way for us to be in relationship with God. God is with us in the form of the Holy Spirit, our comforter.
If you believe that Jesus died for your sins and rose from the dead, victorious over death, then you have received the Holy Spirit. If you are confused about someone who claims to be a Christian, but walks away from God, then they were never true believers; a true believer is still a sinner (we all are), but will always come back to God in repentance. The Holy Spirit helps with that. He comforts and guides you, and empowers you to live a life of faith.
Once you have truly believed and received the Holy Spirit, you are set apart to God. Period. God is with you, rooting for you, working to help you. God is with you, He goes before you. He won’t stop fighting for you.
So, don’t be afraid or discouraged. The God of all creation, a being beyond the limits of time and space, is in your corner. Be encouraged!
