The Lord will fight for you - Exodus 14:14

The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.

- Exodus 14:14, NIV

More About This Verse

Meaning

When we are walking in obedience, faith, and trust in God, He will either:

  • Strengthen us for the battle; or

  • Fight the battle for us!

To “only be still” seems simple, but is usually a very tough thing for most people to do. To be still, we must continue to pursue a relationship with God through prayer and Bible study; and we must trust Him. Whether He strengthens you for the battle or fights it for you, He will be there to help you when you rely on Him alone.
